Dear Readers,
Hello and welcome to The Life Weekly.
My name is Phillip Brown and I am the Editor-in-chief of this paper. Though the layout might be comparable to a magazine or blog, we’ve named it a paper because I was a journalist for thirty years and that is the forte towards which I orient. The content will include poetry, stories, weather, comics, the news, and letters from the contributors.
In the revised words of Tolstoy -- “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is screwed up in its own way”. We live in an overly connected world, being slowly strangled yet exalted by technology. This has had a marked effect on my family, along with a wave of other events that have threatened to submerge us this past year. It is my hope that this paper will help us to better communicate and understand each other while employing technology as a tool to unite us, rather than divide us.
We will release the paper online and in select locations in print once every other week on Monday. Please contact us with any questions, comments, or responses you might have in the mailbox.
Finally, you should note that the content of this paper is not fact. We will strive to be true in our portrayals of our own lives, but the news stories will be taken from professional journalists or sources and written about through our own points of view. Therefore, please do not rely on our stories as your primary source of news. If you need a recommendation, do ask.
Enjoy and here goes everything.
Yours in print,
Phillip O. Brown
