Issue 6

49°/44°

I’m not feeling it today. You’re probably not feeling it today. The weather’s not feeling it today. Am I hot or am I cold? Nobody knows and nobody cares anymore. When you whiffle waffle around too much like a frog that can’t decide whether to stay underwater or test the sun, people will stop paying attention to you and leave.

FEATURED CONTRIBUTOR

With every issue, we will feature a member of the Brown Family staff. This week, it's:

Oslo Brown

Oslo Brown was born to a middle class family in Indianapolis on May 23rd, 1930. He was the oldest of five children and has outlived three of his siblings. His brother Aidan lives on the border of Canada and they rarely speak except in limericks sent in small envelopes through the mail. He enjoys writing long letters but broke off connections with many of his correspondents after his wife Angela died on May 1st, 2015. He has recently begun a new correspondent with one Valerie Kasparek and writes from a retirement home in Cumberland, a suburb of Chicago. His family believed him to be quite content there but recently discovered that he is very unsatisfied. He misses his old home, his independence, and his old hobbies and he is still grieving the loss of his closest partner. His family regrets their mistake in moving him very much and is doing their best to amend their decision. Oslo was once a heart surgeon and expert gardener. Now he focuses his energies on raising awareness about harmful changes in the environment and being authentically cheerful.
